Haven't liked anyone in 8 years, is there something wrong with me?

I haven't sincerely liked someone since middle school. I'm not talking about love. I'm talking about a strong crush. Back then I was so nervous around him, I'd shake. My heart pounded when I heard his voice. I loved stealing glances at him from afar. He rejected me coldly and the experience was a bit traumatic for me.

Since then, I haven't had a crush like that. I've been in love (unrequited as well, went on for ~4 years). I've been briefly infatuated with online pals, but I haven't experienced anything like before in 8 years.

Am I misinterpreting what feelings are normal to have? Or is it strange that I haven't liked anyone seriously in so long? Is there something wrong with me?

There is nothing wrong with you. I think what you need to do is stop worrying about how guys might see you, and worry about how YOU see you. Love yourself, and be the kind of person you would want to love, and the right kind of guy will come after you. No more looking. That's the secret.
