Has this scorpio man lost interest in me? Should i give up? Advice please.?

So i (virgo) met this guy (scorpio) off a dating site 3 years ago, we met but didn't go much further, he just got out of a 4 year relationship an wasn't ready and dist want to hurt me. we recently started talking about 6 weeks ago he would write me every morning and almost all day an we even got to see eachother, he lives an hour away, he told me many times he liked me and it really seemed like it. but see i have a bf, we aren't doing ery well but we live together so it's very hard, me and my bf have discussed what will happen in a few months if things dont get better. about a week and a half ago this guy frien passed away and he talked to me that day an the day after and since then i can see he basically ready my txts and ignores it. a few days pass and he writes me calling me babe and that he has been very very busy and not doing so well since his friends wake and that he's sorry and misses me. i told him i understan an all, we wrote backand forth a few times that night and he was saying he wishes i was there and stuff then ignored my text, i wrote him again yesterday wishing him a good day and telling him i hve a job interview Thursday and he ignored it again. i'm wondering because it seems like he lost interest because he was writing me very single day even when he was busy and i dont want to ignore him incase it does have to do with his friend, i havnt been spamming him because i dont want to be annoying but i'm sarting to think i should stop messaging him t all and wait for him, and it makes me angry in a way that makes me even want to delete him because i told him everyhing, i really trusted him this time and have no idea what to think. why would he even write me that day saying he missed me and h was sorry if hewas going to continue this?
