Why do people ask for brutal (or simple) honesty, but then when you give them exactly that they become upset, and sometimes abuse and/or block you?

Not always, of course, but it happens often enough, and not just on GAG or other social media sites, but in real life as well. I mean, if it's flattery or agreement they're after, then they should just say so.
