People eventually meet the family/friends of who they are in a relationship with, because they find it important in the relationship…
Do YOU think it’s important in a relationship to meet each other’s family and friends?

My answer: I think it’s very important in my relationship for me and my partner to meet each other’s parents/family. If I plan to marry my partner, I would like to at least meet or have a good relationship with my partners family, and vice versa. I would also like my family to meet their family. I grew up with my dad being close to his in laws (my mom’s family), and I really loved how involved and included he was in my mom’s side of the family… That is why I think meeting family is important in relationships :-)

Secure: If you feel confident in your relationships, your attachment style is probably secure. You are comfortable being independent and giving your partner space. But you also ask for support when you need it and provide support when they ask for it.

Preoccupied (anxious/ambivalent): If you spend a lot of time worrying about your relationship, your attachment style may be preoccupied. You may fear being alone or being abandoned by your partner. You crave reassurance about your relationship.

Dismissive (avoidant): If you avoid emotional intimacy, you may have a dismissive attachment style. You may find yourself in and out of romantic relationships because you won’t let those relationships get too serious.

Fearful (disorganized): If your caregivers displayed scary behavior — like abuse, neglect, or high anxiety — you may develop a fearful attachment style. With a fearful style, you may want to be close to people and avoid relationships, all at the same time.

Is the so called ''love of your life'' the person you're going to grow old with? The person you're going to help with the bills at home? The person you're going to have kids with? The one you're going to be there doing the ups and downs, support them?

If the answer is no all of the above and you're just dating to date, you just like how the relationship is going and there is great sex (that's just temporarily and you're attracted to them so what... big deal), what's the point if you're going to break-up eventually?

Even relationships and moving in together seem like a joke nowadays. Do you find the ''you're the love of my life'' a joke?

I am in a relationship with a really really awesome guy.

In uni I got to know someone else. With the time him and I became very close. He told me he likes me and I haven't't been able to stop thinking about him. We never went further than hugging though.

Now whenever my boyfriend kisses me or tries to initiate something more I actually feel like I am cheating on my friend.

Obviously it will matter more or less depending on which people are misunderstanding snd what the consequences may be, but still, overall would you say you are someone who is bothered by being misunderstood and if so do you resign yourself to being misunderstood, or try to make yourself heard,

or are you someone who does not care much as in you will make an effort to be clear but after that you’ve done what you can and people get you or they don’t, Cesar is vie 🤷🏻‍♀️

I hate being misunderstood it’s one of my biggest issues. I mean I think k it’s good to be clear but it bothers me to I think an unhealthy degree to have people misinterpret health esp when I think they are doing it on purpose or just being lazy as apposed to simply genuinely not getting my meaning. If it’s genuine I don’t kind at all it’s the more disingenuous stuff that gets me. I think bc I grew up in a really crazy environment where true was raise raise ass true every moment was like being on trial by people who only wanted to amuse themselves with your earnestness and see how far you’d go to prove your gawd turn just F you up for life anyhow—- no matter what I did no matter how hard I tried to be correct & precise I was gaslit and punished for stuff I didn’t do.

But I’m no longer in that situation & I don't know I think I should work in letting people do the work if they want to understand something they can ask if not that’s their problem… but basically that’s not my personality lol I’m gonna explain stuff till it sticks or someone walks away 🤷🏻‍♀️
