I asked my girlfriend to marry me recently, and wear our ring. I'm thankful she's in my life and I enjoy seeing the ring on her.

We've lived together for 6 months, met on GAG 6 years ago long distance.

I've been one to resist marriage, having never been married and wasting lots of time on the wrong people. I was conditioned to be in fear of marriage.

Marriage isn't everything, is it? To me, it's a way of saying... I love you, you are special to me, I'm committed to you only, I'm here for you, and you are mine (so others know she is taken). I've grown to appreciate her as a person and I want to ensure sure she's in my life.

I am 27 and never had a real girlfriend. I have frequent dreams of this girl I went on 1 date with. She was perfect and never even had a male friend before she met me. She rejected me on the first date. I am absolutely sick to my stomach to learn she is engaged to be married to this guy in April 2022.

I want to find another girl like her, one that has never had her first love or a boyfriend before. She was decently attractive too, and I hope to find another like her.

I want to be married by the end of 2022 or early 2023 at the latest with a girl where we are each other's first loves. Do you think I can achieve my goal?

I have a feeling this is gonna be me. I will be the unlucky few on this earth to never experience a romantic relationship.

I am 27 and never had a real girlfriend before. Not in middle school, not in high school, and not as an adult. There was a girl when I was 6 or 7 years old that I thought was ugly and we were "boyfriend/girlfriend" and there was that one time when I was 18 and had a "girlfriend" for a week, but she ended up becoming a transgender dude. I especially never had anything long term and mutual.

I seek a woman that has never had a romantic bond with a guy, meaning no previous boyfriend or first love. I may or may not find that. But even so, it still will not be the same as if me and a girl met when we were young. I envy those who met their loves when they were young.

Who do you think learns from their mistakes - or even their partner's mistakes - and overall learns from their experiences in relationships with the opposite sex?

I feel like men do because you have guys out there who don't know what they had till it's gone, and that was a serious wake up call for them. And as dudes get older they will be honest and tell you how they messed up in a relationship. But also you have a lot of guys who were really very good to a woman and she was the one who took that completely for granted and walked away, and although it leaves those guys pretty broken, they eventually develop motivation from that breakup and do and become a lot better than where they were before. Even those videos from Coach Craig Kenneth profiled guys who wrote letters to him about their devastating breakup but how they later on became a lot stronger and were doing better things with their lives, and then that's when their ex girlfriends came back but the guys were no longer interested, or questioned if they even wanted to be back together.

I notice that women very rarely ever talk about mistakes they made in a relationship, how they regretted hurting the other person, or even how they could've done better. They will more often blame men for problems they had or for the bad relationship period, never taking any responsibility for their failures in it. They also tend to keep going back to guys who are toxic and don't even give a shit about them but turn their backs on guys who really do. I feel like the mentality of a lot of women is to just keep moving to the next guy and the next, or going back to what is problematic but familiar, instead of changing what's going on inside themselves.
