A topic that have been discussed a lot is about if God do answer the prayers or not and on why some people experience not noticing any changes or thinks they don't get answers. In this MyTake I'm going to talk about possible explanations around it.
1) Being impatient
Sometimes there's a reason behind your waiting time. It may be the right timing, avoiding spoiling people or the need of prioritize something else in this universe.
When praying for something, being impatient or giving up won't help. Patience is important and it may be a good reason on why it takes time before you gets your wishes granted and the prayers seem unanswered at first. It may be granting your wishes immediately could be a bad timing and not fit in the circumstances you or the people you prayed for were in or that God had to priority something more significant. In an universe on hundred billions of galaxies it's a lot of responsibility and some issues you don't know about can be more serious than your problems that's perhaps tiny compared to it. Doesn't you think God do know more than you? It has definitive more experience in controlling a huge universe than a human being who has never done it before. It's better getting something great to the right time than something great to the wrong time.
2) You ask for something evil
It can be either something that may be harmful for you or someone else, or simple just an egoistical prayer. Praying suffering upon someone else like disease, death or violence isn't doing anything good and can therefor be very pointless. Egoistical prayers or prayers that can make you spoiled like praying to getting a BMW, a big luxury house or a load of money without you doing anything by yourself may also not be granted because of the selfish intention. You can't expect getting everything in the world without doing something and especially not if there's many who is more needy than you.
Why parents lets the doctor give their children vaccination although the child don't want it is because although it's painful and seems pointless for the child, not doing so could do more harm than good for the child. Perhaps God prioritize in a way humans can't see or understand. A little child would have it difficulty to understand the parents' decision although they tries to explain it like how human beings would have difficulty to understand the way God work. I don't think we should blame or judge God without being in it's position.
3) You don't think you would get it or is a disbeliever
Giving up the communication don't make the communication easier regardless if it's with a friend, a colleague or God.
There's no point with prayers if you don't believe they would have any effects and just because you believe it won't work don't mean you're right. It's almost like a nocebo effect. If you believes something would go wrong, it would seem like it does and if you strongly believe something won't happen, you would get a nocebo effect giving you more difficulty to notice it. There may be exceptions like if the change is very obviously, but many wishes are often more about subtle things. In addition people with this mindset also tends to believe it occurred by randomness alone and not their prayer getting answered which may be another reason on why it may feel like God don't answer your prayers.
Believing in God and having regularly conversations with it is like having a friend and having regularly conversations with it although they may be distant. How you can't expect the communication with your distant friend being easy if you don't communicate with them either on your phone, social media or similar, communication with God would also be more difficult if you don't believe in it or are trying to convey with it.
4) The way you interpret a "no" or "wait"
It's not only getting a "Yes" or the way you wants that's an answer. Things not getting your way like a "no" or a "You've to wait" is also an answer.
