I came up with 36 possible allegorical meanings for light and I’ve mentioned them in some previous talks like how it is a symbol for purity or sweetness or connection
Recently I’ve also concluded it could be a symbol for acceptance and receptivity and appreciation and forgiveness
To be the light of the world is to be the one who accepts outcasts, who receives the broken, who comforts the lonely, who protects the weak, who takes care of the needy and helpless and embraces his brothers and sisters at church as fellow children of God
Light warms the body and earth and mind
And the children of God warm people’s souls - they are a source of joy and inclusion and comfort - like a mother to a child
So the light is a symbol for the forgiveness and grace of God
