Two things I learned this week - Bible talk

The first is that you have to purify your heart before binding your soul to God’s principles because your spirit must match the spirit that God’s principles are built around and if you bind an angry and hateful and corrupt heart to God’s principles you will become more angry and more hateful and more corrupt.

The second is that you cannot acquire new truths without first learning forgiveness because if you pursue truth before forgiveness is given, the truth will enrage your senses and offend your wisdom and morals.

I think you have to make yourself ready to receive what God has to give you. And doing that takes some work but overall it's worth it
