Two Social Functions I believe all mature religious people fulfill

I believe Christians are supposed to pity those who require and need pity by showing compassion and care on three fronts: physical compassion over financial poverty, emotional compassion over social poverty, spiritual compassion over moral poverty.

I also believe Christians are meant to empower others in three ways: Physical empowerment through knowledge and skills training, emotional empowerment through healing and comfort, spiritual empowerment through guidance and and encouragement or prayer or authentic expressions of concern and respect.

The cute dog symbolizes pity and the tough dog symbolizes empowerment through protection, both are passionate about fulfilling their purpose in life.

I think pity might not be the best word but Have compassion and encourage them by letting people know truths of what the bible says about them

Sanctification has a lot to do with it too. a righteous person will seek the needs of others before their own. They'll take care not to lie, cheat, kill, steal, live in chronic envy, and other things. It's very beneficial.
