Have you ever wondered why doctors are always so fit and attractive? Or why some woman have five kids and still look like they are 26 and smile as if their life is easier than a summer wind? I believe the number one trait to success is tolerance.
One of my friends has published 17 books in 7 years while working as a music teacher and volunteer and philanthropist and now approaching 50, she looks 35. So what is her secret? She tolerates people, her best friend is a severely disabled woman who can barely speak due to damaged vocal chords and she employs her as her career advisor every time she writes a book and she always puts the needs of others over her own.
Why are most doctors so good looking? It’s because they tolerate people, they are interested in helping people the world ignores: the mentally ill, the socially corrupt, the homeless, the alcoholic, the drug addict, the dirty, the smelly, the slow, the stupid, the aids victim, the cancer victim, the clinically depressed, the uneducated, the ignorant, this is why doctors are so intelligent and good looking.
Why are some jerks so wealthy? They have high social tolerance and are able to treat their families or their spouses with love and loyalty and respect after tens of thousands of fights and abuses and beatings and mockeries and insults, I know many people with corrupted morals, who honoured abusive parents and prospered both financially, romantically and socially.
Another reason some jerks prosper in life is that even though they hate their families and their friends and spouses, they have a high pain tolerance and will sacrifice anything, no matter how unpleasant or difficult to achieve their goals, my mother yells at my dad 80 times a day and tried to kill me through medical neglect when I had a disease as a child but she did not say a single word when she broke her bones during a whale watching trip in Mexico because she did not want to face the embarrassment of being weak, it wasn’t until our bus returned to our hotel lobby and we had all showered and ate that she told us she had broken her bone and wanted to see a doctor. Even though my mom had low social tolerance, she had a high pain tolerance which is why she succeeded in life.
So the key to success is tolerance, social tolerance, or moral tolerance, or emotional tolerance, or spiritual tolerance, or physical tolerance, or trauma tolerance or stress tolerance.
