What the bible teaches about God’s priorities

My dad complains constantly about how I’m a failure because all I have is a bachelors degree and I never applied to grad school and I do not have my own house or a rich husband and child. He never stops yelling at me and condemning me and looking excuses to judge and slander me because he is embarrassed that I’m his daughter since I’m not a doctor, an engineer or a corporate lawyer.

When I tried to write a book, I was jealous of a show off I knew who had written 17 books in 7 years because she always did what I wanted to do and did it way better than me, and than bragged about it to everybody in sight and people listened to her and befriended her and helped her and admired her but if I tried to get help or even respect and consideration from these people, I was ignored. I tried so hard to do at least one thing well that she could not do or do it better than her and regardless of how hard I tried, I just could not do it.

And than I realized something, God was not helping me with my career in an obvious way, because God wanted to perfect my heart and mind before He worked on my professional profile. Like when Jesus cleansed the paralytic and removed His sins, before he helped him walk, or when Jesus said, you have to get your relationship with God in order before you work on building an economic advantage and the failure to prize God over wealth, resulted in death, either spiritual death or physical death, and also that God wants you to serve Him and make sure you help others, before He enables you to and gives you the resources you need to help yourself.

And I realized the reason God had not blessed my career was that God wanted to bless my salvation and psychological transformation first and once my heart and mind and soul and spirit was properly dealt with, God would also give me the other things I had been asking for and probably more than what other people received.
