Every year, God teaches me new social skills and life lessons so I thought I would make a list of the most important things that I believe I learned each year.

2017

That was the year I learned to be merciful and not to have evil thoughts about others but to be gracious and forgiving in judgment.

2018

That was the year I learned not to take rejection personally and to understand that my happiness does not depend on how others view me. I also learned that nobody can make me happy unless I first learn to make myself happy. And I learned you can’t talk your way into achievement, you have to work for it.

2019

I learned that you should treat social situations with jerks the same way you treat your job, where your polite, civil, considerate and respectful and you douse all your conversations with regard for God in a way that is classy and polite. I also learned that work is about service and not about results and I learned not to condemn every insult or injustice that I encounter in life.

2020

I learned to pay attention to detail and to be cautious about how your behaviour affects others. I learned that God alone can take away loneliness and no friend can do that and I learned not to associate with people I do not like, even if they can benefit me financially or professionally. I also learned not to cause drama or stress people out and I learned to trust in God and not run to people for help every time a problem arises. And I learned your purpose is to serve and not to compete with others.

2021

I learned to follow mentors and teachers and guides and not to attempt to do everything alone, because copying other wagons designs is a lot easier than single handed attempting to reinvent the wheel all over again when you need a ride. I also learned not to show off or brag and that Christians must combine their time with God, with their devotion or loyalty to societal issues. I also learned that God takes care of you but sometimes His help is delayed and I learned the fastest way to growth is through obedience to God. I also learned that quality is better than quantity when attempting to learn something new and I learned to take breaks.
