What Rachel and Leah teach us about love

In the bible, Rachel had outer beauty but worshiped foreign Gods and Leah had inner beauty and worshiped the God of Jacob, Rachel was younger than Leah but her marriage was less than half the length of Leah’s marriage because she died when Benjamin was a baby while Leah did not die until the entire family had made its way to Egypt during the famine after all the children became adults, so Leah had a longer marriage than Rachel and Leah also had more personal time with her husband at night and she had more children too, it shows the older woman who is devoted to God, has more value than the attractive younger woman who cares only for beauty and status, as a woman’s outer beauty begins to fade, her inner beauty begins to expand and magnify and she becomes three times more attractive than the younger woman who eye her man, this is the meaning of Rachel and Leah, one of many mysteries in the Old Testament as well as many others.
