I believe when you make the holiness of God your deepest and most tantamount pursuit, you lose interest in worldly desires and idols
I agree. When you keep God at center, worldly desires become very minimal. Even better yet, they become distasteful. When you are one with the Spirit, your old desires mean nothing to you. It’s kind of an awesome super-power-like feeling. To be so in control of yourself is unlike anything else. I try to achieve this everyday by reading the chapter in which my daily Bible verse came from, and praying continuously.
This is interesting. I've let go of certain desires when I completely understood and accepted that they wouldn't bring upon and fulfillment in my life and Ultimately would led me down the road of disappointment.

Your pursuit should be to be a good person and life a good happy life, and don't obsess over imaginary all powerful magic sky daddies
Couldn't agree more, its difficult to get started but great once you've got the hang of things!
