Rabbi Manis Friedman on Giving

Rabbi Manis Friedman says when you give to a charitable cause your not a saviour or a rescuer, you are simply giving back to God some of the gifts he has loaned to you for temporary usage in the days your allowed to live on earth.

When I first became a Christian I had a dream where God told me all I have are things that God has loaned to me and the only thing I possess is my soul, which is why I must not trade anything in exchange for my soul, if I’m in need, I must rely on God to give me what I want and not apply immoral behaviours to my life to achieve what I desire.

You also have to give to get. See works don't get you salivation but works do get you rewards. In fact Jesus gives commandments to feed the hungry. Give water to those who thirst. Clothe the naked... the list goes on
