What it means to be a child of God and not a domestic slave

I always experience God in a very accessible and comfortable way but today I was almost totally desolate for a short time

Because I decided I wanted to double my work load so that I could attain higher status

It wasn’t until I decided to halve that double that God became close to my heart again

The sabbath rest means God wants you to give yourself leisure hours so you can worship and socialize and serve or volunteer because humans are social creatures and religious creatures and not just money makers or experience seekers

God wants me to rest from work so I can spend those extra hours in communion among the Holiness of God

A guy told me the sabbath was invented to distinguish us from slaves whose only purpose in life is economics
