A humble lesson on humility

I don’t know how rare or common humility is in this world but in my secular family, nobody is humble, I also realized today that I also lack humility.

Today I was in a digital zoom event and I got annoyed because the lady mentioned multiple things I was interested in talking about but she talked so much, there was no space for me to talk, I would have to wait over 5 minutes to get a word in because she would not stop talking and instead of listening to her, I was waiting for her to be quiet so I could talk.

I realized based on this, I lacked humility, because mentally I was telling myself my views were greater in importance and value than her views, my reception more valid than hers, and my presence and respect more striking and beautiful than her presence, if we want to suggest that humility involves considering the needs of others more important than our own, how many would qualify as humble?

The bible says the existence of one who lacks humility will only get worse, while the existence of one who has humility will get better.

Humility exalts you, my love. You have to be patient for this. You should know where to talk. But don't confuse self-confidence with arrogance. Humility is more important of both.
