Do you believe In the whole "Sell your soul" ordeal?

I have never googled this, yet It comes up top, so Im not the only one curious.

The reason I ask this I because for years, even In 80s music there has been many famous influencers who claim to have sold their soul, Mostly they slide It into their music subtly.

XXXTentacion made a video saying he sold himself, or something along the lines and he won't live very long, basically he predicted his own death.

I also find It strange that so many amazing and popular artists this year have died of "Accidental overdose" It's the perfect cover up.

One artist called JuiceWRLD spoke about the "27 club" I've heard that the 27 club, Is where you sell your soul whether to satan or the music industry whatever you believe by contract or by "satanism" (which to me Is far fetched) And you get all the luxuries of being rich and famous, but die by the age of 27.

This could just be artists fucking with us, mocking people who believe In this. I just thought I'd bring it up I'd like to hear your views on this.

It's an interesting statistical phenomenon, but there's nothing supernatural.
The idea of 'selling ones soul' is just an interesting and common phrase. I'd be interested in seeing a list of artists who have used similar lyrics, refering to having made deals with demons, but have not died at 27 - I'm sure it would wildly dwarf the first list.

Not really per se, but niccollo paganini was definitely talented in his day and the compositions he made are almost impossible to replicate perfectly or even play.
But i think there is definetly some elite in the music industry, because mozart i think or some composer had references to freemasonry in his piece, and the notes and music notation is code for masonic themes.

There is a similar German myth called Faust. Faust is an absolute genius and he sold his soul to the devil for power and wisdom to. He has hunger for learning that cannot be stilled and learns everything he can from every book he can get his hands on, but I dont know how the story ends. It's not the drugs I am worried about, but If we are going to talk drugs lets talk drugs! Prince, who was known for being very strict, he was vegan, paid for rehab for his sister loads of times, he always prefered natural methods, instead of taking pills to fix a cold.

And then he is found dead In an elevator which Is rumoured to be a satanic symbol, many believe he was sacrificed. Maybe he had an underlying problem, they're celebrities we will never know them, But for him to be found in an elevator dead from an "accidental overdose" Is very strange, especially since so many artists deaths this year have been ruled as "accidental overdoses"

Anyone is susceptible to mental illness and there's lots of way that people cope with it. Drugs are one way people do it. It's not unreasonable to think that this is due to a mental health issue instead of any supernatural explanation.

OK, I will explain: People tend to find patterns in random coincidence and try to explain it by making up a lot of hokey BS like this. Anyone who is literate about statistics is aware that in the real world anomalies are not at all uncommon. Unfortunately, neither is trying to explain said anomalies by attributing them to some mystical force or secret pact. Note that there is absolutely no actual evidence suggesting any of this. I don't recall anyone saying "Yeah, I remember Jimi Hendrix talking about how he sold his soul for his amazing guitar abilities".
