Jesus son of Joseph called the Christ was sentenced to death for blaspheming. He having declared himself a son of god. By calling yourself a Christian, that is, a follower of Jesus Christ, would you be ready to condemn Jesus Christ to death again?

No. Do you know who has blasphemy laws? Shit hole countries do. So if your goal is to be a Turd World shit hole country, then blasphemy laws are a great idea. But if your goal is to be better than that then probably not.
the constitution does not infer a deistic god, the pledge of allegiance does, but that was created later, not playing to the founding fathers ideaologies.
Murder is not a crime specifically targeted at god and there are already harsh penalties against that. But there is no crime for publically declaring the one thing america is united under doesn't exist and that serves to divide our nation and should be punished as severely as murder.
@ChrisMaster69 opposing the national interest is treason. America is united under god. Denying the thing we are united under is worse than just free speech because it undermines national unity and therefore opposes our national interests. Atheism needs to be outlawed now. It is treason.
America was founded as a safe-haven for all religions. Were the colonists overwhelmingly Christian? Yes, but they understood the freedom of religion, which is covered under the First Amendment. To say we should go back to the times of The Crusades by killing those that don't follow Christianity is a radical idea and paints an awful picture on anyone who thinks that way.

Another person who didn't get the message. This IS NOT ABOUT FUCKING CHRISTIANITY
If you're going to "that is treason and it is blasphemous and should be punished according to God's word", that's quite literally about Christianity. Saying that the entire body of America should be subject to death or excommunication because they don't choose to believe in your deity is ridiculous. If this post wasn't meant to be about Christianity, it should have been worded differently. All it did was paint Christians in an extremely vain light.
You're simply wrong. Stating that I'm Christian does not make it about christianity. I merely stated that I am Christian in order to make a point about another religion getting it more right than mine and more in agreement with the American way.
That, I do believe, would require changing the constitution. No one should be in a hurry to open that Pandora's box.

It's already unconstitutional to be atheist so no reason to change it. The government would simply be exercising the right to follow religion by doing what it says shall be done to atheists who are heretics, blasphemers and sacrilegious nullifidians who commit treason against the united states in thought and deed.
Free speech with limitations, is not free speech at all.

The US is about freedom. Especially when it comes to religion. If you toss that away then all US ideals that build from that are trashed too. You don’t want the US, you want a theocracy.

America is not a christian nation by law, therefore, it can not enforce any laws that are religiously based, it would be unconstitutional.
This has nothing to do with christianity you moron. The constitution infers a deistic god.

That would be stupid.

Don't you already? Biggest blasphemy I can think of is killing god's children at school
@karaspara I think that’s allowed as it says kill children in some bit of it.
Definitely some kids getting knocked off

Yeah but what about atheists?
Surely this is where free speech comes in?
What’s next 20 lashes for dissing the Easter Bunny
Chain gang for telling Santa he does little kids?
@ChrisMaster69 Does Santa do little kids? Childhood ruined he never touched me

How are you united? That's hilarious and I live in broken Britain
We are united under god. Rejecting god divides us. That's why atheists should be exterminated
Ok bro is that a Muslim God?
The motto actually refers to a deistic god.
So not Christian or Muslim?
@karaspara any Supreme Being, any …
@ChrisMaster69 You clearly haven't heard of the white bitch deity Kara
@karaspara we bow down before you
@ChrisMaster69 Best do
@karaspara you going to have a 20 commandments thing?
@ChrisMaster69 Just one actually

May I ask how it is unconstitutional to be atheist?
@SaoirseS I feel evil for cackling at this
Freedom most of us think this was one of the main reasons the United States became a nation.
Dear lord how proud are you being able, to capture faith from fable.
Most athiests aren't interested in being connected to the church anyway. I doubt they'd argue against excommunication
The right to remain silent is imperative

I’m an atheist and I think people should be able to say anything about people’s gods or religions
No, there should not be laws against blasphemy in any country, period.
Religion has no place in law.
not exactly, but certain things should be illegal. like communism there is just no way a civilized society can have that
It would be good if everyone was a believer, but i don’t think they should be forced into it. They’d have fake faith.
