I was raised as a Christian that is no longer true for me. I just couldn’t continue when I knew it didn’t make sense and contradicts itself at every turn. I need information to flow in a uniform manner not doubling back every other paragraph. So I sought answers and found them. Religion for me is fake as hell and was used to control the ignorant masses that abounded in past centuries. What I found I am still studying and it makes more sense to me. That’s just my opinion. I started my studies with “The Book of Enoch “ there is a reason they kept it out of the Bible. The reason is I wanted to see what they kept out of the Bible. They kept a lot out because it didn’t suit their purposes. I later studied a man’s life work his name is Dr. Raymond Moody. That started me in a journey. I then started reading and listening to a cornucopia of books. My favorite author on what I believe is a man named Dr. Micheal Newton PHD. There’s also a few billion people that agree with me. I am man who respects science and science has answered what we really are and it makes a lot of sense to me.
Also Lucifer is not the name of the devil there is a completely different story from ancient times on this being and those that remained on earth with him. In the story they are still here. Although I’ve not seen them. The name your looking for is Sameal pronounced Sam -A - EL I think you’ll find it interesting to say the least.
Satan is telling his side of the story for thousands of years... in the Old Testament pagans used to ritually sacrifice their babies to him. Some say they still do to this day.

That's how great His love for us is because He's the source of all love. Yes, I absolutely hate that, and it's the main reason why I just don't watch many films or TV shows anymore. People who knowingly commit evil are not "just misunderstood", because they know that what they're doing is wrong but they do it anyway, and it's accurate to say they're evil.
My issue with a lot of Satan conversations or satanic churches is they try to defend the devil when clearly the chose to worship the evil villain in the story. We can’t tell if the story is true or not. It’s like trying to defend an evil villain in a comic book. The fact still remains the character has been written to be evil so no matter how much they try to justify his actions you can’t. That’s the same way the devil works in the Bible. And satanist that try to defend him LITERALLY have no arguments they chose to worship the Villain from the book of Christians. They shouldn’t be surprised when being judged for that.

If we're to make a legitimate case for Lucifer we have make one for God aswell and size them up against one another to say.
If God created Adam and Eve and decided keeping this from them was a good idea. Hypothesize a reason. Let's say he felt they wouldn't be ready and it would ruin them. In time when they're ready he will let them know.
Lucifer going against that and saying no they need to know and I'm going to make sure of it. Corrupting them and leading them down this path of BS. There's a strong case to be made in favor of God was right, Lucifer was wrong and at best you could argue the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
At worst, he was jealous, knew what would happen and did it anyways.

To argue Lucifer did something moral would require a pure disregard of God's intentions, goals, or even the basic understanding that he knows his own creations. Who is Lucifer to say he knows better.
When you have kids if you don't already. Are you going to make a case for another person getting your kids to do things against your will that gets them in trouble? Your asking the wrong question the question you should be asking is why God made it forbidden for Adam.
The reason why God made it forbidden for Adam to eat from the tree had to do with free will but it was also a test of obedience and of trust and faith. Because without free will your a puppet and God didn't want that he wanted us to have free will and the ability to choose.

I guess technically god didn’t write the bible, it is a collection of books, the Old Testament predates JC by between 1200 and 165 years. The New Testament was written between 40 and 100 years after JC was born.
I am surprised how much this is not referenced, the stories in the New Testament are either written a long time after events happened or based on stories passed down the generations.
I mean if your parents told you a story their parents told them, and their parents told them and their parents told them, i. e. passed on for 4 generations, are you confident that if you wrote it down it would be factually accurate to the events that took place 100 years ago? I doubt it, therefore the stories of the bible are likely to be distorted versions of memories from a long time prior to them being recorded, most likely based on trying to convey a moral message. There are also questions over how accurate the translation of the King James Bible into English is.
Therefore I believe that it is hard to place any faith in the bible or it’s stories, it is a collection of morals portraying what good and bad behaviour is based on the morality of between 2 and 3 thousand years ago, loosely translated into English in 1611.

I am agnostic, and yes, I believe satan is a villain.
#1. He deliberately trick Adam and Eve and made their life worst.
#2. In the book of Job he stated clearly that humanity doesn't have the will to do things beyond personal interest. He argues that mankind is devoid from alturism.
#3. He developed an ambition, far from God porpoise, and also far from a common good. Lucifer, became Satan because he wanted nothing else and nothing more than God power and throne (tons of earthly examples existed for centuries).
#4. Satan wanted to create rivalry between Jesus and God. He was seeking to generate conflict.
#5. In no chapter of the Bible he protects humamity. In fact, he wanted to torture Job to death. God prohibeted him to do so.
If you ask me, God in his allmighty presence is a divine paternal figure; while satan is like the jealous neighbour who want to spoil your days, everyday.
And if God exists oh, he created everything knowing that those things would happen. That makes them his fault.
If someone does something INTENTIONALLY, of their own FREE WILL, and they kno3w the consequences of their actions, then THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE for their actions. EVERY ONE of those criteria apply to God. Therefore he is RESPONSIBLE for EVERYTHING that EVERY happened and EVER will happen.
@AndrésC64 According to the sacred books (abramahic sacred books), God will not doubt in wiping out the earth and leave only a handfull of chosens ones he consider adequate for the new earth. He did that several times in the old testament. Now, if we adopt a godly mindset (imagening we are hipotetically allmighty and creaters of universes and life), is inevitable to think there would be more to do than just say: "ah, I like to create. Time to leave my creation". That's like a gardener saying: "I love to plant. Time to leave the plants, with bad weeds and plagues".
God in the sacred books has a paternal role, although he also has a role of a judge, guardian and executer, why? He's almighty and a creater.
Beyond that role, there is something that can't be ignored. God and satan debate do not end with Job. Their cosmic debate over the state of humanity and its worth, goes till the book of revelations.
Remember, God is almight but he didn't created robots; so the dabate I am talking about is a debate that marks a precedent in earth and heaven, of: who is right? Who is wrong? God or Satan? Satan, then, would give many reasons for a rebellion. So, God apparent permisive behavior, in reality is a continous demostration of how right he is and how deceiving is satan. In the Bible he's undermining with facts the arguments of Satan.

@AndrésC64 I think he served a purpose and was an important lesson. No matter how high you are you will never be high enough. Anyone can fall from grace, even one so gifted. You could say "Why did He create Lucifer? Good question! Why did He create anything at all? If we know the world is full of all this strife why do people even choose to bring kids into the world? Do you have to give everything to a child for it to mean you love the child? You could also ask; "Why doesn't God stop bad things from happening now?" Well, we have free will, right? That's what the pro choices always want to talk about, free choice. Even though tbh they aren't truly "free choice" on anything but when it comes to abortion.
Also why do we continue to chug along if life is basically on the whole just meaningless? If we are just animals that became too self-aware? At some point when you bring life into this world you must set it free to do for itself. You will never be big enough, you will never be better, you will never be beyond Him. God never PUT those thoughts into Lucifer's head and Lucifer himself knew right from wrong. And that's a part of the lesson. Just as God withheld the forbidden fruit of knowledge. Perhaps it better to say that the story has no REAL villain but rather a tragic figure of sorts. Next, the issue that was raised in the garden was that humans could rule themselves apart from God, and that God's way wasn't the right one. So in wisdom, God has allowed us to try to prove that theory. What has resulted is nothing but pain, suffering, and death. On top of it, some blame God for it.

Humanity fell on its own accord. It was given the choice to love God out of our own free will, free will because God is not a puppeteer, and Eve allowed herself to be deceived and chose sin as did Adam. Despite God's simple directive to not eat that one single kind of fruit. And the tree was there for the very reason of giving humanity a choice, to ignore false promises of sin whose wages are death and chose God's eternal life. God never set anything up to fail, He wants nothing more than for humanity to rekindle with Him and worked with Israel throughout the OT to do just that. And now via Jesus Christ's sacrifice we have an open and free way to the Father, without the need for righteousness in our own power, which is impossible to achieve anyway.
God is described as very many things in the Bible all to showcase the diversity of His character. Where He's called jealous it is to display the love for His creation and the hollowness of false idol. Further, I do not recall any instance where God is described as being "a proud God". It does however speak of how God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.

This was why He bid Israel to exterminate them all, to rid the land of impurity and evil and start anew with a nation that followed Him and His ways. OT is a historical record in many of its books and depicts what rulers did outside the will of the Lord, not just within it. Far from everything that was done then was God's bidding, and in due time they faced severe punishment for it.

Murder and killing are two different things and it is indeed thou shalt not murder. Murder is premeditated killing, but the Lord is not against say; self defense to protect family or defending your country in military service.

God took no pleasure in killing the firstborns, but He does what is righteous and yes as the Almighty He defines what is and is not righteous. And God keeps His promises, He never breaks an oath nor a Covenant. Thus it had to be done due to Pharao's tyranny.
Via the Sacrifice of Christ, we are now living in the Age of Grace. A completely different time to the OT-era where we have a direct connection to God once more. Things that befell in OT does not befall us now, and God no longer deals with us the same way as He did the OT peoples even though He remains the same He's always been, the Covenant is a new one.
