If they were real, and there was a scientific app for SEEING THEM? Probably not. Knowing they’re there? Maybe. Sometimes. Other times, I wouldn’t want to know.
Like if I’m heading to the bathroom, I probably would want to know if they’re in the room in a way, so I could tell them to leave. Taking a shower, getting romantic with a woman, probably not. It’d probably psych me out too much. But assuming ghosts were real, had limited control (enough to hear and see and leave or enter a room, may turn visible or invisible at will, move real objects on occasion ), I’d assume most would leave anyway. I’m sure ghosts would not want to see their adult great grandchild on the throne or getting naked for a shower (unless certain ghosts are pervs).
But in some cases, yes, I’d want to know if they were around. If I was about to talk about someone about them and they were the type to hold long grudges over small things, I wouldn’t want them listening in on certain conversations and then be petty and move crap around or walk around moaning all day.
Please re-read the question. You will see I explained that first I know they are not real, and second the question is what if they hypothetically were.
