I think so. Because as a natural skeptic I struggle at times with my faith (right now as would happen would be one of those times). So I pray for answers and try to remind myself that it will be revealed. Just not necessarily in my time or my way. It's funny that you referenced the time of Jesus and the early Christians. Because I'm sure even being witness some were still skeptical. I always fall back on the old saying, "For those that do not believe there CAN BE NO explanation. And for those do believe there NEED be no explanation". I think this is the sticking point with atheists and such. Everything has to be rationalized and reasoned. And I get that, me being a skeptic. I say to myself God created the heaven and the earth. With 8 billion people on the planet how can a human mind possibly keep track of a complex plan for them all. It's no wonder God doesn't explain it lol. I mean God didn't want us to eat from the tree of knowledge. Not because he didn't want us to know what he knew. He didn't want us to be troubled with the knowledge of sin. I try to remind myself God thinks like a parent. He only wants what's best for us. Parents try to protect their kids from the harshness of the world. Even as I type this I can just as easily refute my own post with thoughts antithetical to what I just said. The Christian in me knows this is just Satan trying to decieve me... and the battle continues lol. At the end of the day I just keep reminding myself "Ask and it will be revealed". Just remember. Not on your time or in your way.
If I may, I discovered a YouTube series called "the bible in a year". It's from a podcast that has 365 episodes designed to be able to watch one a day. I've been watching it for a week and I've already gotten a lot out of it. I recommend Christians old and new to give it a try.
great perspective. I may take a look at that, would want to know it's a reliable source though. Can get a lot of out Genesis 2-3 and I think we all think and perceive differently, so get something different from what we read. I saw it as a model for human reality, and it makes sense out of the situation... even after learning some psychology, it validates the model. I think there's understanding and book smarts and there is "being". I find God when I connect and feel, I think it's an emotional thing not logical. Good point you made. People stumble because they don't believe, but to get to believing... is a leap of faith. I think that leap is like a spark plug gap... engine doesn't move without that little spark gap.
I just think this is helpful to those that don't get to church very often. You can read the Bible but this is why fellowship is important. Because there are things you might miss without it. Before watching this I always read the expulsion from Eden as a punishment from God. I never considered it was actually an act of love. Because I struggle as a human being with why God allows some of the things he does.
yea I thought it was a disgusted choice not punishment. the seed of wickedness is in essence, the separation from God. There's a lot one can extract from what is written. Amazing how much is packed into a small space... and I wonder how much more it said in the language I cannot read.

By faith believing he is risen, makes me feel joy. He can to this earth as human to feel our suffering, and he died to save and protect us. For that I am truly grateful. I am also grateful that he is watching over us from a above.
I think there's truth in that or it's true. That said, there are false or flawed beliefs. That leads to the question... what is "worthy" of believing in... in my view.

Yes I want in the Spirit with a sense of Joy and Godly leadership, however, this does NOT mean that I possess the ability to do Apostolic Gifts that Bible said ended with Apostlesā¦Apostolic gifts are not continuous. what? 4:12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. that sounds general, you interpret it as specific to apostles only?

No I can't educate because I have faith, if you have no faith obviously your prayers won't work, it's not something you can learn like a subject in school, that's what people don't understand, it's spirituality, not mathematics
You can't fool God and asking for shit you want isn't what you need, using God for shit you want won't get you anywhere and your faith will collapse with it, people pray for nonsense and that's something I had to learn with time
some seem to have faith and don't get prayers answered so they say, but maybe you are right on the root issue. have to believe first... and they aren't. interesting.
Or they are asking for something they don't need, which is a big issue, if God gave everyone everything they wanted then how will the world be, obviously there has to be some form of control or everyone if not most people that's supposedly believe, would be rich š¤£
