Do you believe in reward and punishment on earth?
Do you believe in earthly reward and wrath from God?
Do you believe in reward and punishment on earth?
Yes. Jesus promises forgiveness for our sins for those who trust in and obey him. That promise applies to us going to Heaven.
What he DID NOT promise was freedom from the consequences of our actions on Earth. He DID NOT promise we would be spared arrest and conviction for our crimes on Earth. He DID NOT promise us an escape from justice. He DID NOT promise we would go through life without sickness and pain. In fact he warned us we WOULD face all of this and be scrutinized and persecuted harder than others of the world.
Even giving up sinful ways does not guarantee a spot in Heaven if a person never turns to Jesus Christ.
Well, what does "from God" mean, in this case? If a person smokes too much and gets lung cancer, is that from God or just a natural consequence of their actions? If a person lives a "Christian life", however you define that, they'll avoid many dangerous things; are those benefits from God, or just natural consequences?
I don't know how blurry the line is, but I have my doubts that anyone can draw it clearly.

Oh absolutely!
Let me tell you a story.
My grandma used to have a little servant girl that she basically adopted, because one of her sons was possibly the father of her.
So when she adopted her, she mistreated and “child-abused” the absolute “f” out of this child. Mainly because she was mixed and Grandma was a complete racist.
She would constantly hit her. She would use the hard part of the heels to hit her with. The little girl tried to “un-alive herself” multiple times. Until one day God returned the karma to her. She went out one day and in an intersection a lightpole split for no reason , and slapped Grandma on her head as hard as possible. It cracked her head open in half , no to the point of her brain coming out , but it was a cut of her entire head.
Literally she had been hitting the little girl in the head with the heels.
THAT ALONE SHOWS YOU WHATS UP
Yeah but I think there is blessing and good things too.
I believe in karma absolutely, the universe has a way of getting back at people who do bad deeds.
Do I believe it was from some higher power though? Who really knows for sure, I could be wrong. I just have no idea really.
No, I don't. Misfortune falls on the just and unjust alike. Mostly it falls on the poor. If there is any justice, it comes from society, either through the courts or from shunning.
kkkk
kkkkkkkkkkkkkk
kkkkkkkkkk
No I don't think so, it's cancer first of all so it's very unpredictable, plus it happened after he cleaned up his act so that would be unfair since he stopped.
Plus why punish someone years after they stop?
There is a verse in the bible that says those who destroy others will be destroyed after they repent and those who betray others will be betrayed after they repent
So I guess there's no point in repenting even before death then?
No, it means you must eat what you cook before you can get the cooking of others
If that's what he got for stealing cars, can't wait to see what politicians get, bc so far nothing
Not everyone receives their punishment on earth - the bible says the ones God favour are more likely to face discipline while they are alive.
So we won't get to see the worst ones punished? That's sad and anticlimactic
No. Reward and punishment by fate or some imaginary omnipotent beings is something that powerless people believe.
But doesn't the Bible say God will not punish that way.
The bible says a lot lol
Well, if karma is just obvious consequences, then yeah.
No, I do not. If that was the case, I would not still be around.
Nope. I've seen no evidence for that.
Yes. Though, I have yet to receive anything.
Amazing a good deal of beneficial information
