Life's 'Big Questions'. Should We Perhaps Just Give Up Trying to Answer Them?

You know, like "Is there a God?", or "Do we live in a simulation?", or "Is there life after death?", or "Is reincarnation real?"
The truth is we have no means whereby we can definitively answer questions like this. I know about, for example, the NDE (near-death experience) phenomenon, but the reality is that if an afterlife actually exists the only people who are certain of that fact are those who are actually there now.
Maybe we should just accept the reality that there are some questions we simply will never have the answers to, and move on to other things, things we can actually tackle and make some progress in.

I'm agnostic, which means I accept that these questions will never be answered, but I won't deny the faith people have. I believe a majority of people need to believe in something for various reasons important to the individual; however, it's perfectly okay to stop if that faith if shaken and come back to it later.

As for conspiracy theories such as living in a simulation, they're just really fun to think about; at least the Matrix gives us hope that one day Neo will save some of us... except for the 4th movie, that one was bad.

I partially agree with you, in that I do not believe humans can "know truth", but I disagree that the conclusion should be "don't bother". I think that exploring and questioning reality is an excellent exercise in creative and logical thought. I do also think it is a good idea to accept that an all encompassing objective truth is unknowable. Not doing so leads to delusions such as commitment to a religion/faith.

Not sure how many times you've died vs. how many times you've done DMT, but experiences vary, and many reports from other individuals show similarities.

"Why does God allow suffering?" is the global question that all human beings ask given the mass suffering and evil in the world.

I think its important to try to grasp the big questions and create our own opinions over them. Though, I dont think its important to ponder them so much they become our life
