Does it torment you that God created this world and allow it's evil?

Question

I'm not atheist or agnostic. I believe the narratives written in the Bible and the nature of our creation is true.

The problem is that I still think it is tormenting me that God created man as perfect but man chose to rebel against God so right now God allows the devil to run the earth and we got to be born into it.

Also, I hate that there are things like sex and other things that are so tempting, and yet we need to serve God and resist. It is like pressure or a burden. It is also said that one day God will clean everything and for that he will have to rewire our minds if we chose to be with him for eternity. Okay, but if that's so, why didn't he just create human beings in Heaven in the first place instead of deciding we needed to be "tested" down here.

Makes me feel paused about any existence at all- I don't want to exist and don't want to go to either Heaven or Hell- yet I don't have a choice to opt out of choosing either.

Does anyone else including the Christians of GAG feel this kind of frustration?

I get exactly what you're talking about, man. I've gone through frustrations just like this. I don't understand a lot of His ways, and it frustrates me thinking of certain things that could be easily resolved if God did things differently. However, I believe most of our frustration comes in when we try to solve things with our limited finite minds.

Knowing that God is infinite and limitless, at the thought of creation, He must've seen every possible outcome of how the mess we are in could have been avoided, much like a time-travelling superhero. Though I believe most of those options probably have to do with our free will being taken from us, which is not love at all. I think God knew that this was the best route that could be taken, regardless of how terrible it seems, any other way would've probably been much worse.

One could argue that if we were made perfect in Heaven, then it would have made us better off, but just look at what happened to Lucifer?

Everything that we are going through now boils down to choice. The fact that God is loving enough not to mess with that is the reason we have fallen angels who chose to rebel against him, and encourage evil in this world. It's the reason many humans do the same. The fact that we have the ability to choose will seal our fate in the end, and cut off any possibility of sin ever reeking havoc again. The universe is being proven daily who is God's and who is Satan's by our daily choices.

I don't have all the answers, but I will say this..

God would be unjust to have done all that you said, and not made a way of salvation for us, and that's what I keep coming back to. It all points back to the cross. The fact that he gave up His authority to humble himself in the form of man to be able to literally walk in our shoes shows His trustworthiness. He allowed himself to be tortured and killed by the very beings He loved in order to save them. I think when God reveals everything to us in the end, we'll see that things could've have been done any other way.

It is very frustrating at times, when life hits you with something unexplainable, making you question God. But moving forward without Him is much scarier.

I think you misunderstand the situation, and place blame in the wrong place. Look at the Bible- how often does Satan show up? Three times. Three, in 73 books. First, when he's tempting Joshua, to test his mettle; second, when he's pushing Job, to test his faith, and third, when he's tempting Jesus, to see if He'll crack under His hunger, fatigue, and lust for power. That's it. Satan's not evil; he's fulfilling a divine duty of temptation to see if people really are as moral as they think they are.

Human evils aren't a result of outside tampering; they're a result of human moral failure. The devil doesn't run this world; we do. And compared to how we SHOULD be doing, we're doing a lousy job.

Said moral failures, however, are a result of physical limitations. What makes you think that sex is something to be "resisted"? Wanton, unchecked indulgence may be a bad thing, but that doesn't make what you're tempted to indulge IN bad. Too much water and you'll drown, but I don't hear anybody calling thirst a sin.

Yes it does. At least for me. There are a lot of bad things in my life going on rn. I ask god almost daily why just why. I know that he has created so many miracles tho and will continue to create many more in not only mg life but the others around me as well.

Everything was made for Jesus. He has a plan. And unfortunately, we have to suffer too. The Christian life is not to be easy or a bed of roses. God tries to make others realize there is another dimension. He’s making us learn that He is the Supreme ruler and Mankind has rebelled against God. That’s why Jesus was put on the cross because of man’s rebellion of course to die for us too. Now, when man rebelled against God in the beginning to follow their way and desires, that’s when God’s plan succeeded He already won. Because the devil took the bait. God doesn’t require our minds, we are exposed to the truth by His Holy Spirit. We have free will. Honestly, this would be too much to type to support an in-depth conversation to try to tackle.

Free will is your greatest gift because you are truly free. Humanity has turned that gift into a curse and you are blaming God for it. The fault lies firmly on humanity for abusing the gift. Without that gift we would either be AI, or controlled completely by another.

Maybe he did but we asked Him to have another experience to learn. But ultimately, if every single human decided to live in the way they should, there would be a heaven on earth.

Everyone suffers and recovers eventually - it's part of the learning process. Do you think every kindergartner is supposed to be a PhD by high school?

The purpose of evil is to cut the wheat from the chaff. Some suffer it and succumb to it, Most recover from it and become stronger. They whole idea is to get The Best. You clearly are just a bit part, even in your own life.

No, because as you say man “chose not” God, therefore, Fallen.-Which in turns means man is responsible for Evil.-So, to chose God as Absolute Truth and Creator is at odd with man’s Nature, hence, God calls us unto Him, In and Through Christ Jesus, as Sons and Daughters of God.
—God does not want a bunch of robots who do lack the option to choose Not God. Free Will and ability to choose and choose not God as Absolute Truth and Lord clears up lots for me.

We have free will, so technically, we allow the evil. God gave his laws and commandments, just because people choose to believe that it's just old covenant stuff and not choose to see that the sacrificial system is the old outdated covenant alove and break God's laws and let Satan in, it's not Gods/Jesus fault.
