Solomon from the Bible he ask God for wisdom?

So as I am doing my studies more research. I just wanted to see what people know about the story of Solomon. Friend over here isn't that Solomon ask God to have as many woman. No I've read that Solomon pray to God to give him wisdom in order to run his kingdom the correct way. What have you learn about Solomon from the Bible?

I learned that despite his wisdom and the grace given by God that through his consortium with demons and allowing multiple idolatrous foreign temples to be build on hebrew land God split his great powerful kingdom in two and divided the tribes of Israel into the northern kingdom of Israel (samartians) & the kingdom of Judea (jews) and these two would be conquered by various great empires and the hebrew people persecuted, displaced and replaced in their Homeland everyone from the babylonians to the Persians to the asyrians to the Macedonians, Parthians, Romans, Sasanians, Muslim Arabs, Frankish and Norman Christians, Mamluk Sultanate, Ottomans, British empire.

There is so much to learn about human nature from the story of Solomon suggesting that the baby be divided in half.
