Why do some Christian’s not offer help?

(forgive my grammar)

I noticed this with a majority of Christians not all. You come to some of them for help and they say something like “I’m thinking of in my prayers.” And then go on and do not even attempt to help you I was thinking of so called friend I needed help and all she could say is “just cry out and he will hear you.” Literally is the same thing as having money in your pocket to help someone and instead you say “I’m sending my thoughts and prayers.” Or if someone doesn’t have a home they may say something like “I hope you find a home.” And then finish off with a God bless. I needed a friend at the time and I thought she was a miracle at first, but then she started twisting versus to get me to go to her church instead of the one I’m already go to. I’m sure she added or twisted the verse to use fear and it’s not the good kind. It’s the kind where they use stuff to their advantage to get people to do things. She never invited me anywhere or tried be a friend for me. She was never there for me. All I did was get scared away and left feeling empty because of her. That’s what they call faith without works. They can talk the talk, but when it comes time for helping….
