Has anyone ever nearly had their life ruined by a cult?

So many people are recruiting people and not realising the damage they do. I keep seeing them on the streets jahovas witnesses, fellowship of friends, Mormons, Scientologist. Just a few days ago I accidently walked in the fellowship of friends cult. I thought I might never come out. Seriously they are so annoying.

I don't think anyone can grow up in a cult and not be damaged. It's impossible. So many people I used to know who grew up in a cult appeared normal. Then one day I talked badly about their cult. And they were nothing like normal. The mask droped. The completely lost it.

I do it because your comments have been offensive thus far. I'm good with respectful dialog, but not that. But if it helps, we don't take or ask for money, we don't recruit people who aren't interested, we don't attack people and we don't hurt each other.

They are also brainwashed. But I think so know deep inside that they are doing something wrong.

We are also not a regular cult. Our founder is long since dead, and our sects leader is also dead. There is no brainwashing.
The only difference between a religion and a cult is size. That's it. Only reason we are classed as a cult is because we don't have many followers. We are faaaar less harmful than even many baseline Christian churches.

I know a bit about your cult I just googled it from your profile photo but honestly I won't join. I am not easily recruited. But tbh if your small you are not dangerous. The Mormons are big for a reason it's because there recruitment methods are verry advanced
They use proper psychological technics. Really powerful onses the same used in the army.
