How useful are algorithms?

I came up with 8 algorithms for interpreting religious texts from all religious periods in history and over 50 algorithms for interpreting the bible. I just don’t know if there is a market for it. Some of my algorithms contain 288 different calculations and parts.

1) Focus on solving a real problem or meeting a real need. Algorithms and software should have a concrete purpose and benefit for potential users.

2) Think like a customer. Understand the pain points, workflow, goals, challenges, etc. This helps ensure you build the right product and prioritize the right features.

3) Get early feedback. Talk to potential customers and get feedback before spending too much time building anything. This can help validate (or invalidate) your ideas at an early stage.

4) Iterate quickly. Build simple initial versions and get feedback. Then improve and add features in subsequent iterations based on that feedback.

5) Market effectively. Once you have a quality product that people actually want, you'll still need to effectively promote and distribute it to find customers.

6) Diversify revenue. Don't rely on one product or customer. Look for related products/services, different pricing models, consulting opportunities, etc. to reduce risk.

7) Continually improve. Software gets outdated quickly. Keep adding value and improving your offerings to keep customers happy.

There is nothing magic about algorithms. If the author cannot interpret the text without them, there is no way the author can be sure the results are valid or simply a product of “fitting the noise.”

I find computer algorithms amazing. Even though I do not understand some of them from data structures, I still find then cool. They serve practical purpose.
