I am one and couldn't imagine life without being so. I used to be a non believer but I read a book called 'Unmasking God's Truth' by Kirk Dales during the pandemic and something changed within me (I am forever thankful that it happened). After reading that book, I was left with this burning urge to read the Holy Bible. I started reading the Bible but soon learned that some were really watered down and then was led to KJV which felt right.
Then later I got Baptized and born again. Then I started confessing healing scripture daily until it got into my heart. Then I started seeing miracles, laying hands, praying for people, casting out demons in the name of Jesus. I saw all kinds of miracles and am now studying why so many people (believers and non believers) are still sick, despite 'By His stripes you are already healed'.
Life is now exciting and I love it!

Godly men and women. if anyone said he is a Christ follower then you can be sure it will be very hard to find them especially in Western worlds. Unfortunately even in Muslim communities the same cultural practices like hook up and extra marital relations and stuff is becoming common

Godly means, first someone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and is saved. And then characteristics wise: Humble, obedient to God, serves others sacrificial, exerts self control and discipline in a world where we're encourage to exercise instant gratification. Is generous, hard working and not lazy
I see. Well I'll tell you this. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life, he's the only religious founder that is graceful, merciful and loving and the only one with power on earth. A Godly man is much more attractive, I'd encourage you to give him a try and see if he is who he says he is
For example? The question is not which religion is peaceful, the question is what is the truth, what is the way to knowing God and what is life? Or in actually truth who is the way, the truth and the life?

Awesome! First question. Why do you need more than one mediator? Like I know Jesus is our intercessor and the mediator between us and God. Why do you find the need to pray for Mary the mother of Jesus or the saints who are dead?
Great question! So first, let's lay out two things. Christ is THE mediator, and he can share in that mediatorship. I think we both agree on this, because it is Christ himself who says that we should ask others to pray for us. This doesn't contradict his mediatorship, otherwise he wouldn't have told us to do it.

Yes, praying and interceding for one another is something we ought to do as it's also backed by scripture and Christ did it himself
Others, as in those alive not dead people. I know of a Bible character who's tried communicating with the dead, he died shortly after. His name was King Saul. Jesus never prayed to Abraham. Paul didn't pray to Steven the first martyr. Where does the doctrine of praying to the dead come from?

You can't communicate with the dead. As in back and forth. But sending our requests for intercession is perfectly reasonable. After all, those in heaven are not dead, but alive. Christ said he is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and he said he is not the God of the dead but the living. Peter, James , and John even met Moses and Elijah. So I guess I don't see the issue.
1 Thessalonians 4 vs 13-18. Esp vs 16 '.. and the dead in Christ will rise first'. When you evangelize to a non- believer how can you in good conscience ask them to ask dead saints to pray for them. The saints are dead, they will rise again. How come there is no single piece of scripture that asks us to talk to the dead? How can you pray saying 'Paul please pray for us?' He's dead. I'm not being sarcastic, I'm genuinely trying to understand. No disciple, no prophet, not Jesus, not even the Holy Spirit has taught us such a doctrine. Who brought this up according to catholic church history?
When you send requests to them for intercession. You're expecting a reply. And prayer is listening and speaking to God. But in your case, you listen to and speak to God and them also talk to saints who are dead mind you. There's no scripture, Only Kill Saul did it and he died shortly after. How do you reconcile this? Why didn't the disciples ask for Stephen's prayers
There are some important distinctions to be made here. First is that they are not dead in Heaven, they are living. Christ makes that clear. Second is that the reply expected is not from the saint who we asked for intercession, but from Jesus.
Also, scripture and tradition support asking the saints for their prayers. We have been doing this since the apostles

I am currently reading Revelation. The hope of the Christian faith is that the dead in Christ will rise again. They aren't risen yet.

When it says the dead will rise in Christ, you're only looking at half of the scriptures if you take the conclusion that everyone in heaven is dead. Christ very explicitly rejects this in Luke 20:37-38
So you need to have another explanation for the scriptures that doesn't contradict itself.

Her virginity was strongly held from the early days. If those who were so close to the apostles were believing and doing things a certain way, it has a lot of weight.
There is no 'must' when it comes to intercession. It's there as a gift. We view it as one body of Christ, on heaven and on earth, all working together for the salvation of souls and the glory of God
Bruv, according to my research you believe she was born without sin. Which is a lie because all born of Adam have sinned and fallen from grace. The Bible said she's blessed among women, not that she is the most blessed. Even if she was the most blessed, she still wouldn't pure.
The Bible tells us to pray and intercede for one another. Not one apostle or Jesus himself has prayed and included dead saints. Even considering that the Lord's prayer is the model prayer. Prayer is communication with God not anyone else. If we are to pray to saints, might as well pray to angels as well since they are continually in God's presence.

Yes, I am aware that is the protestant position. The Catholic one is, as best i can judge, more logical and founded more fully in the scriptures and history.
It's also important to understand how we are using the terms though, such as 'pray'. Otherwise we risk talking past each other.
Bruv. All have sinned. Mary the mother of Jesus wasn't even half God, she was an Israelite chosen by God and faithful to the Lord. She was born of sin and Jesus came to die for all. Jesus even told her that she's James' mother. It's not even about semantics, it's about the truth. No one is born without sin, otherwise Mary would have been mentioned multiple times.
Prayer is communication with God. Like I think Catholics are Christians because they believe in Jesus Christ. But the Mary part and interceding to and with saints is definitely not biblical
Like I said I think Catholics are Christians. I say this because I know they are usually put in a separate category especially in the west. But I assert that the praying to saints who died (interceding to and for) is unbiblical, so is Mary the mother of Jesus being born without sin. The Virgin shall bear a son doesn't mean she was pure and righteous without sin, she needed a Savior as well. I wanted to understand and I still want to understand why you believe such a doctrine. I went to a catholic boarding school and have had exposure for sometime but I've researched scripture and it doesn't back those 2 doctrines. Suffice is to say the Holy Spirit is our guider and comforter

It's just you're repeating to me what I've heard from my other catholic mates and still there's no conclusive evidence aside assumptions and possibly man-made doctrine in my opinion. Thank you for explaining to me where you are coming from. I also think it's odd that catholics are put in different categories from other Christians. The only ones who deserve that, as far as I can tell, are mormons.
I think it makes a lot of sense that Mary was sinless, was a virgin, and is worthy of veneration. For multiple reasons. But I know you know that already.
I am giving you the Catholic position at a high level, it's true. But I was under the impression that's what you wanted. After all, shortly after we started getting into the details of asking the saints for intercession you switched topics. I interpreted that to mean you wanted only the high view, so that's what I was focusing on after that. My apologies if I was mistaken. Either way, I enjoy conversing with you too.
