Do you believe there are benefits to following the teachings of the books in the Jewish Bible?

I don't obey it perfectly but I try to make sure I improve every day on how much I follow. I'm a Christian but a lot of Christians read the Jewish bible.

The Old Testament is the Jewish Bible. There are many stories of believers and unbelievers alike… to me it is a history book and teaches us about morals. Even though I believe in Jesus who dominates the New Testament, I also believe in God who dominates the Old Testament.
It’s important to know God even before learning of or trying to understand Jesus.

What are the differences between the Torah and other Jewish books and the Old Testament?

The Old Testament is the whole Jewish bible excluding maybe a few books like Maccabee’s which I do not know if it is in the Jewish bible. And the Torah is the first 5 books of the Jewish bible which are also the first 5 books of the Old Testament in the Christian Bible.
