And it might be true that no one on earth keeps it perfectly, but if you are 1% more obedient than others, you might be 200% more successful than others.

Anyway, that’s his explanation for Jewish prosperity when religious Jewish people prosper

Even when Chinese or Indian people prosper, when not Christian or Jewish, they follow some of the rules like, work an honest living, which goes under, do not steal, and take care of your aging parents, even if they are a burden, which falls under, honour your father and mother.

You might have forgotten about the link to the discussion, but it's not really important. It's literally the word of God Almighty Himself that if You keep the Ten Commandments, You will prosper.

However... As a Christian, I tend to interpret it as an extension of the promise of God's salvation or as a piece of advice for the society as a whole. Realistically speaking, an individual who keeps the Ten Commandments will always be in a strategic disadvantage against one who doesn't. Taking (un) ethical shortcuts will help You achieve Your goals in this life faster and more reliably. I mean... If You kill everyone standing in Your way, You're going to reach Your goal with no resistance. However, it's going to ruin Your perspectives for salvation once it's Your turn to die. Also, if You were to face a tight-knit community (not just any society, these close bonds are important) adhering to the Ten Commandments, no amount of unethical shortcuts is going to help You. You will become an outsider and an easy target. As it's officially perfectly fine to get rid of an active threat to Your own or Your compatriots' life and safety physically, any such threat will get eliminated. See... If You don't kill a serial killer, You are indirectly killing all his future victims. Thus, it's ethically better to kill the serial killer than to allow all these innocent people to die. Thus, any unethical person will have a hard time surviving in a tight-knit community adhering to the Ten Commandments.
