I believe if God chooses you, you don’t have to build your social network or matchmaking endeavours, God will do that for you. I always meet amazing people with no effort or special skills, just because I’m religious.

No. We still have to put in the work. Case in point, this past Sunday's Gospel (from John) details the feeding of the 5,000. The Apostles still had to being the loaves and fish to Jesus in order for something to happen.

Likewise with the wedding at Cana a fee chapters earlier, with the jars of water turned into wine.

We still need to put in the work. We still need to make an effort.
