Sort of. If you study the theory of entropy even a little, it becomes clear that order is not the natural condition of things. So order, especially order beyond our control, strongly suggests that there’s an underlying truth we don’t quite understand. That, to me, suggests intelligent design and/or control. And until there is a better explanation, there’s nothing wrong with believing in “god” or a flying spaghetti monster, or whatever. Faith has been a great and wonderful thing for millions of people. You don’t throw the baby out with the bath water.

I consider myself a man of science but if you look at the intricacies of our universe and how it all interacts. Or if you ever witnessed the birth of a baby or how the tides can be predicted it is obvious it is not created by some accident.

Please note: I have come to this view out of my personal life experiences and pain. I do not expect others to agree or subscribe to how I think. I am a Christian. I am aware that many people have been hurt by Christians. For that behavior, I am both disgusted and grieved.
I don't pretend to have all of the answers, but my faith is based on two ideas. One, that God is love, and two, that God is truth. If anything written in a book and practiced by others conflicts with those two foundational concepts, then it is in conflict with the teachings of Jesus. I cling to the teachings of Jesus as my anchor and that alone. I am not a defender of institutions, apologist for cruelty, or a judge of those who suffer. If my faith cannot withstand genuine questions, propel me to love, serve the outcasts and bind up the wounds of the broken, it is nothing. It is my duty as a disciple of Jesus to follow His example, and that means I am to love. People were following Jesus long before writings were gathering into a book, and they will continue to follow Him when those writings are dust. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind.
It came down to two choices for me: I can go through life without God and without hope, or with Him and the hope that that brings for me. If I believe that God allows us the free will to choose anything, it is my experience that I and most humans are inherently selfish. If humans refuse to act on the loving behavior asked of them by God through Jesus, then it explains a great deal about suffering and pain (not everything, but a great deal). If the pain we experience is based in lack of support and a deficit of loving relationships, a lack of cultural customs to process pain in healthy and community-oriented ways, then much of what we experience as pain is made worse by our own disinterest and our tendency to insulate ourselves from it.
That is why I believe.
I don't. It's a scam. An omniscient and omnipotent diety can do anything but balance his checkbook and always seems to need more money to glorify herself? "God" ticks EVERY box for sociopathic narcissism. I would rather consort with this MAN than any "God":
I went over instead to the devil/Satan who I find much more useful and no not the satanic satanists who do blood 🩸🤕 or other weird stuff. No i just mean my own personal deity my version of the devil 😈 purple devil emoji, unrelated to the religions.
many causes, 1, unlikely predictions, 2, logical need for the "ultimate cause" n more.
I believe "god" is a primitive word for human conciousness. "I see many people but only one that I can see through the eyes of." I must be unique. "I am God" everyone's like... "okay sure, your god". "I created the universe!" Wait... really? "Yesss!"
Cause you have to know that we didn't get here on our own. You have to know that some higher power helped along
Because I can read because all of us didn’t just happen🧐
Because God believes in me
Because he’s God
I don't believe
