Let's be real everyone is a proponent of science and technology. Even devout Muslims try to say modern science that never would've existed without irreverence for Islam, a religion that claims to already know it all, somehow confirms what Islam says

I take scientific inquiry. The Bible is mythological and deters human advancement.

In regards to Islam, I'll add that it never stopped people from advancing knowledge or creating innovations. Yes, it promotes mythology, as well. But people who envision Islam as exemplified by the Taliban are lacking historical knowledge. They forget that between Ancient Greek enlightenment and the Renaissance (almost 1000 years), Europe was essentially barbaric.
The following, short, article gives a glimpse of contributions from Muslims. Philosophy, poetry, music, mathematics, architecture, inventions, ... Not because they were Muslim any more than Catholicism contributed to the renaissance. But Islam never deterred scientific thought the way Christianity did.
When Greek and Roman thought was forgotten by Europeans, Muslims retained and built upon it. They also had access to China, India, Asia and Africa, which were largely unknown to Europeans.

You can believe in both / have faith in both / root for both.

If it is written in a book of faith to a monster named “Hurtz” that the Earth is square though science proves it is round with more evidence than my faith then I would have to say mortal man got the words translated down from my faith wrong since “Hurtz” made the Universe we currently reside.

Everytime we discover something new about our world, we should welcome it as understanding the domain on a deeper level of individual faith’s creation.

Those Muslims aren’t wrong, a lot of ancient astronomers, alchemists, and other scientists were Muslim and did so to try and understand the world Allah made. A lot of these ancient scientists went on to inspire the theories and ideas of famous historical figures that came after them such as Isaac Newton or Galileo or Archimedes.

Without Islam, the modern world would not have developed. Not only because it's where Arabic Numerals, Algebra and the sciences developed. But that it stopped Christendom from keeping Europe in the Dark Ages.

But as for your premise, you need both religion and science. You cannot have one or the other. As one of the users in another forum put it eloquently:

"Science gives you guns and ammo, religion gives you laws and regulations on who you can't use them against"

The two can exist and facts are facts till you can easily manipulate them.

So funny how a lot of the science sites are be and the YouTube mostly has AI science videos that say nothing.

why don't you go to Notre Dame, Georgetown, Boston College, Loyola Chicago, Loyola Marymount, Loyola New Orleans, Gonzaga, St. Louis, Creighton, Marquette, DePaul or any other Catholic university and ask the dean of their school of science?
