I believe that there are ways to give your life to God outside of martyrdom or humanitarian labour. You could spend your hours helping with community needs or listening to those that need a compassionate ear to support them. I believe there are three religions that say not losing your temper is more honourable than winning a hard victory in your political or social life. You could say the one that forgives insults receives bigger rewards then the one that works 14 hour days but defrauds and abuses others.
