Have you ever read the Quran if so what did you think of it?

When I was around 12-13 years old a read many religious and other philosophy books at the public library including the Quran like they were novels. I wouldn't say I took away the full meaning of it at that point in my life. I'd say I knew the Quran was wrong at that age and that there was some weird shit in it, but I didn't really think about it in depth... It was kind of a speed read once over and a nope this is false conclusion on to the next one. Then I didn't really think about it again... Then around 30 years old on any random night of the week for no particular reason I have a vivid dream about the four corners of the earth. In the third corner were millions of Muslims praying to the east. In the fourth corner, they were all dead... every single last one of them... they were locked inside their dead bodies seizing in torment and pain. I tried to help them but they were sealed. Then a hand rest on my right shoulder and I was told I'm sorry, you can not help them... Feeling the light behind me, I turn to look only to awaken in a peaceful state in my bed looking out my window to bright new morning with birds chirping outside my window. I thought to myself, woah that was weird and ignored it for a while, yet it kept popping back into my head multiple times a year... So I started reading the Bible and the Quran again looking for meaning in the symbolism of the dream much of which I have not mentioned. That lead me to realize how horrible Islam is and eventually to apologetic. Then that lead me to watch Christian apologetics and debates against Muslims and over the years I have realized that it is true that many of them really can not be helped. They are doomed. They have chosen it.

I did, it describes alla as merciful but if i accept that bit of the quran, then the rest can't be from allah , so i did not accept quran nor join islam. Many muslims see the problems in quran and realize it sends them to the "good and light" of the new testament.

My Arabic is touch and go, but have read various translations of the Quran.

(If you cannot read Arabic, then you've only ever read someone's translation of the Quran, not the Quran itself)

It does make a lot of good points on various matters. But it's for those who want to be guided, it's not some general purpose read.

Nah. Dont believe in any religious stories. Or they were just stories and humans made it real. But I do think Muslims have the most evil religion. They control women , and make animals suffer till their last breath and choke on there own blood. Which pisses me off.

I was working through the first third.

And found it to be a constitution about social behaviour in certain desert settlements.

Lost interest.

It's extremely rigid - I can't (could) not see a transferability to modern times.
