Is it strange if I do not want a big wedding, just a 2 hour coffee and water party followed by 1 hour of dancing?

The bible says God schedules periods of rest so you can absorb spiritual completion, knowledge, and power, when you are in a time of transition and cleansing.

And it also says God schedules a full year of rest when you immerse yourself into a romantic completion period if you are in a secure position to do so, because this is needed to bring fulfillment to the partner that has left their old role in life to be with you, so I would say instead of spending on a wedding, the money should be spent allowing you and your partner to have free time with each other so you can work out the emotional transitions and changes that come with being married to each other.

You should have the wedding the two of you want. When I was younger I was insecure and vulnerable to what my ex and everyone else wanted and lets not mention the grandmas and grandpas and I am sure I've forgotten an older relative on his side too. All nice I am sure but they all have an agenda on their own. Lets just say this: I did not look forward to it. I felt I had to pretend to be someone else. The trouble with that is you are not doing a good job at it as well when you don't know who you are in the first place. I had unknowlingly because of my empathy and new in this world at many things been led and allowed myself to be led by my ex, mostly. But he was just a symbol, really. It was time to grow up. Better late than never.

When our relationship was terminated I knew I had lots of work to do on myself.

Please have the wedding that deep down feels right for you. What ever the bible says or do not say should make no difference. You two love each other and what ever, how ever your ceremony will look like there can't be anything wrong with it when there is love and making a formal promise to one another.

The wonderful thing about that day it's what the both of you want and if some find it strange that's good because they will also always remember that day 😄
