I took the Ten Commandments and rewrote three of them, to make them easier to keep, then I added 2 more, that I thought would make the 10 easier to keep. I think this new version of 12, is manageable, and easy for me to keep, while the original would have been very challenging to keep, because my parents are unbelievers so I cannot accept their authority and God's authority at the same time, so I changed "honour your mother and father" to "be supportive and helpful towards your family."
And I changed "do not be adulterous" to "do not be close to opposite gender people unless you are married to them," because as Rabbi Manis Friedman said in his book, sin comes after you break social boundaries, and if social boundaries are kept, sin does not happen, because there is no desire to sin when boundaries are kept.
And I changed "do not murder," to "do not judge" because if you judge others, you will want bad things to happen to them, and its a lot easier to remove the desire for bad things to happen to others by not judging them, then it is to remove the desire to curse and destroy others, after you have already decided you want bad things to happen to them because you chose to be judgmental towards them.
Then I added two more commandments to make the first 10 easier to keep, they are:
1 - Let God fight your battles and do not fight the battles yourself.
And
2 - Do not spare a bad social influence out of sympathy. If God wants them gone, or if they make you sin against God, cut them off.
