Is Easter in April because it matches when baby chicks hatch in spring?

The first time this year I heard birds chirping in the morning was Easter weekend, which leads me to believe they made Easter weekend in April, because it is the time baby chicks are born in places like Canada and North America.

The actual date was chosen in 664 at the synod of Whitby. When you consider this was supposedly the dark ages it's a considerable achievement. I don't think you could get different branches of Christianity around a table now and come to an agreement.

Yes. Spring and Easter can also be a time to celebrate fertility which is how and why the rabbit got in there too. 🐰
