First things first let me clarify a few of the terms I'll be using.

Cosmetic Surgery: A surgery performed that is not medically necessary and is not correcting deformities or injuries.
Reconstructive Surgery: A surgery performed that may or may not be medically necessary to correct past injures or deformities.

So my question is kind of a follow up from all the questions on gag about whether or not plastic surgery is unattractive to the opposite sex like Would you date someone who had plastic surgery? and my previous question Would you date someone if they use to have weight problems? Some people said that they would so long as that person didn't have a lot of loose skin.

So would you consider having that loose skin removed around the torso, thighs, arms and breasts/chest to be cosmetic surgery or reconstructive surgery &would you date someone who has had this done after major weight loss?

Please don't tell me what the medical community and insurance providers think it is. I already know that, I want to know how you view it.

I don’t know what I’ve done to be invisible throughout my life. I’m 24 and never been in a relationship. I’ve lost 80+ lbs and I guess I’m what you consider average/thick now. I still don’t get attention from guys. People say to work on yourself and things will fall into place but this has never happened for me. I exercise, watch my weight and attempt to look my best (I don’t try too hard). I’ve been complimented throughout my life (not solely by family and “friends”) and I don’t honestly think I’m unattractive. People seemed shocked when they find out guys don’t notice me. Men don’t approach me, I’ve only ever gotten attention from men I’m not attracted to or are just weird. I hear stories of people bumping into their current SO and I just don’t get why that’s never happened for me. I’ve tried online dating and have had zero luck. I don’t know what I’ve honestly done to be so alone throughout my life, not to mention that I have no friends.

Im aware that question may have come across a bit childish but I feel insecure in my looks. I was a chubby child and was into my first year of college. I didn’t get asked out until I was around 16. And the guys that showed “interest” were not my type. Who seemed interested in me was not what I was looking for physically. I have lost eighty pounds since and am moderately thick. I have curly hair, pale skin, slim stomach and thick (big) legs. While I went down a few dress sizes, I have thick thighs as I previously mentioned and could afford to tone up. However, I don’t get much attention from men. And when I do, they’re not my type. On dating apps is where I get attention from guys, at least the ones I find attractive. And when they do message me, it seems brief and shallow. Compared to the friends I’ve known that seem to have suitors, I feel I don’t measure up. People say I’m attractive and these friends of mine that get attention are somewhat average. I don’t know who’s lying. Even with my weight loss I feel invisible. People tell me that men look at me and I do not notice any attention. Others have said that guys complimented my looks behind my back and I feel they’re lying because these same guys in person did not convey their interest.
