The barista at my local coffee shop is really hot, is good with eye contact and we have really good conversations. We enjoy similar things and have similar political views. He teases me frequently which makes me think he like me simply as a friend. The first I time I came in he gave me my order for free and the next time as well, he tried to do it again but I insisted on paying for what I had ordered. He has covered some of the payment at times I've come up short. He does have a girlfriend but every time he mentions her its in an off handed way. Whenever I come in he tells me about things going on in his life and seems genuinely interested in what's going on in my life. I would have directly approached this and just asked him if he didn't have a girlfriend but I keeping getting mixed signals and am confused. Is he into me or am I reading way to much into this?

My friend, S, has been asking for my advice with a guy. She is a senior in high school and is trying to figure out where she is going to go to college, and has been meeting with alumni and current students at her top contender schools she's considering. Last weekend, she met with a previous classmate for coffee to ask about his college. Both of them went with their moms to this meeting. She said that the meeting went good and that they talked for 2.5 hours but she is confused about whether or not he likes her. I guess while they were taking his mom invited her and her mom to a concert in September or October, and then he invited her to a football game next month (he plays football) and told her he would show her around his favorite spots after her tour of his college she is going on this week and to let him know if she has any more questions. I feel like it is important to note that she liked/likes? (I don't know fs but my guess is she still does) this guy last year. I also think that it is important to note that she knows his mom because of something that their moms are apart of. She has been asking me for advice on whether or not he likes her (she is his type based all on previous girlfriend's and similar interests) and I thought that maybe he did until I heard through the grapevine today that he's dating someone else. She has been asking me for advice on it all week but I don't know what to tell her and I can't ask anyone else since she asked me to not say anything (hence why I tried to go anonymous with this). I haven't told her yet about what I heard (about the girlfriend) but am going to before she sees him after her tour this weekend. SO, does he like her? Is she just being delulu and reading into things too much? How do I help her?

I have a guy best friend and I do like him back, but am trying to figure out if he likes me before making any moves. I can’t tell if these things I’m about to list or coincidences or not, so any advice is appreciated.

• He often asks me if I find celebrities/characters/random guys that look like him attractive
• He seems to get jealous when I bring up other random dudes
• He tries really hard to get close to my dad
• My dad and one of our mutual friends think he has a thing for me
• In the past, though this was a few years ago, he told me I look like a doll on one occasion and Rapunzel on another
• I gave him a piece of jewelry for his birthday and he gave me one back (though this could just be returning the kindness)
• He described his type (personality wise) in a group setting one time and someone said that that description sounds like me, but he went quiet after that
• He sends me silly cat and animal videos a lot
• One time we were talking and he said “you never tell anyone you love them” but in such a way & context that I think he wanted me to say it to him
