Guys, why does he want to keep me in his life so much?

This male friend of mine who is supercool and directly told we are just friends.

Because he is very busy and like the rest of us however he make an effort and will contact me from time to time. He cares for my well being, he is respectful to me and likes to help me a lot. Now he is genuinely like this with all his friends.

Maybe I am reading into it too much. But why would a man want me around all his nearest and dearest, whenever he has projects he calls me to support. He shows me a lot of affectionate.

As an average hetrosexual guy, I don't ask myself why my friends want my male friends in their lives (female sure), even the ones who are keen to keep in touch with me (though if their over keen I might very much keep a distance because I'd be concerned of their intentions). So hence, this lead me to draw a (reasonable?) conclusion that your asking here because your looking for a relationship with this guy saying he's just friends.

Let me presume I'm wrong, and other hetrosexual guys (aka you) are wondering why another guy is so keen for their company. I find that weird, but hey... we are all unique.

You didn't answer really either of my enquiries either, you seem uncomfortable with sexuality in general if your finding it 'creepy' to mention it. Statement of fact.

As a general rule, if your uncomfortable with the keeness of a friend, just spend less time with them; If you can't for some reason of friends in common, just ask them why their 'bugging' you so much about hanging out, see if their answer tracks and if it does just let them know what you expect from another friend (which differs depending on sexuality which everyone has and noone should be worried to speak on, and if they are because of bad behaviour in society they need to work with peers to try to end that treatment).
