If you've noticed, mostly people with poor financial situations have many children because they want their children to have a good income and a substantial salary in the future so they can financially support them. That's why your father beats you mercilessly when your grades are low. He wants you to have good grades, get into a good university, have a good profession, earn a large sum of money, and support him.

And then there's old age. Nobody wants to go to a nursing home; nursing homes are literally prisons for the elderly. They torture them, mistreat them, and force their own excrement into their mouths. And when they're old, they expect you to take care of them.

A few studies suggest that aspects of a person's personality correlate with seasonal preferences and environmental upbringing. The climate preferences are apparently formative in what naturally recharges and comforts a person. (Similarly, preference for certain times of day are said to impact productivity levels.)
