I've never cheaated on anyone, but been the victim of cheating twice in 53 years of dating, relationships and marriage. The first time, my girlfriend confessed the affair to me shortly after it began. The second time, a mutual friend told me as I was already in the process of a divorce.

This did not come about because of his girlfriend. At the trial she is not encouraging that he be connected but anger has she receive necessarily discouraged it. When having asked about what or something wrong and and what she and I possibly deserve more if he doesn't serve anything, she was up in the opinion that the courts and the jury should be like that decision. The way at this came about after so long was that the man text a crisis line and made full confession while talking about his past. Possibly he thought the statue of limitations was well past or he hadn't done anything wrong. But there seemed to be some awareness on his part that possibly he had done something wrong. The age was no issue because she was age of consent. The problem was that she requested they stop but he continued and it took her a 2nd request, him ejaculating into her and 20 seconds from first request before he stopped. She also began to give him oral everyday they saw one another and would always do so until he came, she let him do so without removing his penis. She felt it eventually became a thing expected but she made no complaint and he made no effort to ask her if she would prefer to not every day they saw one another. He faces 2nd degree sodomy, 3rd degree forcible rape and a max of 20 years in a Kentucky state penitentiary. Bail was denied and at the start of trial he has spent almost 8 months in the county correctional facility. You will decide guilty or not guilty and if guilty suggest a suitable punishment. Give this the same consideration you would if you were sitting on a jury. His life, as well as justice being served are at stake. Also possible life time sex offender registration.

I was shocked yesterday when my girlfriend expressed that she thought it was weird that I give a gift AND a card for Christmas, birthdays, etc. (I’m not talking about the generic “Happy Holidays From Our Family To Yours” courtesy cards, I’m talking people you’re close with and exchange gifts with.

I was taught to always buy a card to accompany the gift, and that the card and it’s sentiment is more important than the gift. And when receiving a gift, I was raised to read the card first, take in what’s written in it, and thank the giver, before even opening the present (upon doing so, I’d then thank them for the gift).

In her world, cards are just something you give if you’re not exchanging a gift with someone, just an acknowledgement. If you’re giving a gift, an additional card is unnecessary, unless it’s something like cash or a gift card. And she asked me if I had ever noticed her family doesn’t give me cards with my Christmas gifts, and I guess I haven’t, haha.

I’m not offended by it or anything, I just was surprised because I thought my way was standard. And she said the same, and we’re both questioning it now because we both have small families and subsequently small gift-exchanging circles.

So I’m curious what all of you folks think. Do you give a card AND a gift? Or a card OR a gift? I guess I’m primarily concerned with opinions of people from North American countries/cultures that I’d be around, it might be totally different elsewhere, but all opinions are welcome👍
