My best friend and I had sex I’m scared he will fall in love and I’ll hurt him. It felt great but he hadn’t got any for over a year and has told me even in past relationships it takes a while for him to be able to do it at first because he needs and emotional connection.

We are a great match as friends we are there for each other whenever. I know he’s always had a crush on me physically he never hid that the thing is I’m not in a good place for relationships the guy I’m in love with is married (we were both married when it started) Im a nice person but I’m terrible at resisting temptation, also my job is literally flirting with men which he told me he wouldn’t want his girlfriend doing that because he gets jealous.

Well you should have focused on building something meaningful or never done it. You’re not perfect and neither is he but recognizing that causal sex is wrong and can cause a lot of problems is a lot more mature then people who keep doubling down doing it. But aren’t smart enough to learn.

Being with a married person is also horribly wrong and you need to repent if you still have a level of shame, guilt, etc. I will say that marrying your best friend most of the time those relationships last a lot longer. There is more of a risk involved but usually since there is a genuine connection. It’s better then sleeping with lots of people and marrying the first dude who knocks you up.

I would say though since you been involved with a lot of people. It’s more mature of you to want to hold off so you don’t hurt him. But this care and compassion if you keep making these same choices. You may wake up one day and be one of those people who don’t care anymore and that’s going to be a very sad day for you.
