So my girlfriend is undeniably a tomboy. She has a rather firm and tough personality, and is really into sports... like soccer, basketball, volleyball, swimming, etc... she also just really likes walking a lot. She's also into theme parks and water parks... such as Universal, or Disney World, or SeaWorld, or Aquatica, or Discovery Cove, etc. She's also into martial arts, she's been at it for two years... and she is indeed quite cunning. She also likes video games, when she's not going out. She's better at those games than I am, though she's just a casual gamer. And when it comes to shows she likes watching, she very often likes shows/movies such as Breaking Bad, Dexter, Game of Thrones, the Godfather, Friends, The Office, etc. Nothing super sappy or that has to do with "girly" stuff. Just mostly gender-neutral shows.

She also keeps her hair short, more or less like a guy... I mean it's not that short, and looks great on her. If she was a guy it'd be long hair, and it has a lot of volume still, but for a girl it's short hair, since it doesn't even go to her chin or shoulders. Sorry to compare her to an anime character, but this childhood character is the only comparison I can think of without putting up my gf's actual picture on the internet, lol.

If you want a picture of a real girl, this is close enough, but I think the anime girl's hair is slightly closer to my gf's actual style, since my gf's hair has slightly more volume.

However, she does have a "girly" side to her. She's very understanding of others' emotions, and she waxes all her body hair off. She wears shorts a heck of a lot... which makes sense, though, since we live in Florida. But she says she absolutely hates body hair, and likes how smooth her body feels without any body hair... which is kind of hilarious to see such a tough girl worry about keeping her skin as soft as possible 😂😂😂

It feels SUPER nice, though. No complaints.

Now, let's say I need some means to defend myself, or I just want to be able to dish out a good beating.

I am interested in the collective opinion of GAG - in your experience, what hand to hand martial art is the most effective?

For the record, I would like to include some conditions/disclaimers, because there are always people who say "depends on the circumstances"
The circumstances are pretty simple:
- No sharp or percussion weapons involved - no baseball bats or knives, folks.
- Small joint manipulation is possible (in real life, there are no rules).
- The fight takes place in an urban scenario, so most likely on asphalt, concrete, or some other kind of hard surface. If you want to include comments about soft terrain, like grass, do so with a disclaimer.
- Running away is not a martial art. I know, but this has to be said.
- Using your steel capped boots to break someone's bones is ALSO not a martial art. Everyones's wearing sneakers/dress shoes and comfortable clothes - leave your skinny jeans at home if you want to fight.
- Of course, using body armor also doesn't count.
- No guns, pepper sprays, tazers, etc. Seriously, do I have to say this? Who am I kidding, of course I do. There's always a smartass.
- Fight goes till concussion, submission/tapping, or death, if that's what it takes. Points don't count, the fight goes until the enemy is incapacitated, and unable or unwilling to fight, basically.
- Always take into consideration your weightclass, and above. Beating up kids is easy - focus on how far out is your chosen martial art effective. If you have to choose between A and B, and B can knock out a guy twice your size, and A can only take out guys 1.5 times your size, then B is probably more effective.

When it comes to TV, magazines, art, comic books, where do you stand on nude women?

Or even situations like when in their underwear. Or body parts covered up by objects in front of them or their arms or hands.

Another example is movies like Wonder Woman, where the Amazonians wear skirts, but when they jump and flip their skirts ( though made of leather and don't show skin) still implies a form of nudity or voyeurism.
