I'm not saying it's bad to like/love providers but I just can't believe that's like number 1 or 2 on people's list of priorities. There are so many more important things. Please enlighten me if you disagree.

The other day I was talking to a girl and she said she's so down for much older or much younger as long as he's able to provide and is physically attractive. Am I the only one who thinks that is shallow? Don't get me wrong. I would love my partner to be beautiful but I would never say that like it's all I want/need. And would never take a 10/10 in looks with a 7 personality than the other way around.

I saw this happen a lot when I was younger. Admittedly I would sometimes get jealous/frustrated when an attractive woman choose a lesser attractive man over me just because he was “really funny”. And these men were also mediocre at other aspects in their lives (work, hobbies, etc.). Some of them were bums and/or scum bags.

Then I got older/mature and I shifted my position to “well I have to give credit where credit’s due”. If I saw an average looking guy pull a hot woman then I had a “good for you man” attitude. If I saw an attractive woman date some abusive asshole then I had “well you are going to get what you signed up for” attitude as well. And when these women got burned I refused to give them a shoulder to cry if they had the nerve to come crying to me about it.

But now I believe men are being judged more harshly by women on their looks more then ever before. Our digitized society has pushed it with social media and dating apps. But they some of them are just as judgmental as guys used to be (or worse). The only exception would be if the guy has money and/or fame.

Met a cute nerdy looking girl at a gas station. I was doing a job on that side of town and saw her every morning for a few weeks. She always seemed to flirt with me, caught her staring once. I never asked her out cause I didn’t think our personalities would click.

I moved shortly after about an hour away, and when I was in that part of town again 2-3 months later I decided to go ask her out. Unfortunately she no longer works there.

I’m tempted to go push to get a name or get connected with her somehow through her old work.. but I don’t want to be a creep. It’s not a big deal, but I’ve been kicking myself for not asking her when I first met her. I doubt her work would even help me, for obvious reasons. Still, I may try.

They have the perfect personality, they looked amazing. They just had a bad tattoo like these.
