I was with my ex girlfriend for two years and from our circle of friends, I met my current girlfriend. I did not physically cheat on my girlfriend but I emotionally cheated because I fell in love with my current girlfriend while with my ex girlfriend.
Eventually, my feelings for my ex girlfriend faded entirely because my new girlfriend was very compatible with me. We laugh, play and feel really comfortable with each other. I love my new girlfriend and I don’t regret my decision but I do still feel bad. My ex girlfriend didn’t deserve to be left the way I left because she was actually a great girlfriend and did everything right.

She told me “I did everything right and you still left me.” Her family has contacted me saying she has been in a state of depression for the past couple of months. I feel responsible.

Inspired by this random GAG question I came across here. It's a bit sloppy with the poll choices though, so I simplified it a bit.

1. Would you date a really amazing biological girl who looked like a guy/transwoman, or a biological guy who looked like a girl/low-effort transman? They have a 10 out of 10 personality and are everything you want in personality, but they look like the opposite gender to the point of coming off transgender (they're biologically "cis," however).

2. Would you date a great, awesome girl or guy who was 100+ pounds (45+ kg) overweight? They're at least 350 pounds; bare minimum, and are comfortable with their weight and who they are, physically. They have an 8 out of 10 personality. They're 80% of everything you could ever ask for in personality, and the missing 20% are more minor details.

3. Would you date a decent girl who was six inches taller than you, or a guy who was six inches shorter than you? They're also the same weight as you, but they have a pretty face. They have a 6 out of 10 personality and are the majority of everything you want in personality, on top of being super-attracted to you and want to jump your bones in bed. They're not ideal, but they're heavily attracted to you.

4. Or option D; die a virgin, having never even been hugged by the opposite gender before (or same gender, if you're into that.) Your social skills will be terrible, to the point you'll come off autistic or like you've got Asperger's. And the only thing worse than that will be your personal hygiene. You'll remain thirsty until the day you die and never know love, sex, or companionship.
