So my old partner and I were both married when we worked together and we became friends for the year we worked together but as my relationship failed again I would still talk to my friend that used to work with me because she messages me almost everyday and asks how I am and so one day she told me how her husband hit her and I already knew he was always an asshole to her and I told her that I really liked her and she said she is a married woman and I am her best friend.
One day I told her that I was confident we will be together sometime when she was fighting with him and she said come to the city and get you a place and a car and work on yourself bro and their is a first time for everything, so I moved up their closer to my work place.
A couple months after living here my ex expresses that she wants to come be with me after her boyfriend beat her up and is locked up but I say no and she meets up with my friends husband and tells him all kinds of lies and my friend left him but then got back together with him and blocked me for a few months.
Out of nowhere I get a message from her saying she left her husband for good this time and I say sorry.
After she told me that wh started talking again and she would start half the time by messaging me how was I doing or something and after a month I started hitting on her and she would say we need to hang out.
I would hit on her a d compliment her and she seemed to like it because one day I said I'll stop saying that stuff tobyou all the time about her bing really pretty and stuf like that and she told me no you dont to stop and so I said I see thay as an invitation to turn it up on the hitting on her and she said yeah I can.
She would video call me when she would drink but all the sudden she went cold and barely answer texts after her ex put his hands on her but never said anything else and is different now
What should I do?

Ex Co-worker and I used to text a lot before our job decided to close. She'd sometimes text me from when we were there (9 am) to when we'd close (5 pm). Conversations went well etc. Made her laugh and what have you. Her boyfriend worked with us and it seemed like she wasn't really interested in him. I mean, they'd eat lunch in the same office, and often when a co-worker or I would walk past their office, they would be on their phones not even talking to each other. We used to talk about a year ago before she quit. I asked her out back then not realizing she had a boyfriend. She agreed to go but then flaked the day we were supposed to go out. She got hired 7~ months before we closed. She would call me into her office to ask me dumb work-related questions she could ask anyone.. literally. Then she texted my phone on my day off once to ask me a work-related question and since then we've been texting her and there. When it was our day off, she wouldn't say anything. The last time she texted me was Monday. Asked me how my new job was and what I think she should name her arts & crafts business. She showed me a couple of items she made. I think the convo went well. I just kind of wanna text her but I don't know if I should wing it or just let it be? She did add me on Facebook out of the blue Sunday.

It is particularly an option when your boyfriend/husband is an independent tradie or contractor.

If your boyfriend/husband said to you "Honey I don't think we can afford you to work any more since I put on another plumber on for my company. The tax accountant has suggested my company pays me less and put you on the payroll. Then we can split income and save more tax than you earn. Our combined household income will be a lot more than if you continue to work for your current employer. We will be able to afford overseas vacations.

All you need to do is to send 2 plumbing invoices a day and field 3-4 phone calls I can't because I'm up a ladder. But I think you should clean the house and cook the evening meal for me in between calls. Other than that you can play tennis with the girls, do coffee with them, whatever but what you are paid is our money not your money to blow."

WHAT IS YOUR ANSWER?

This can be a genuine option because income can be split if the girlfriend/wife has a job in the company and the tax savings can be substantial. Depends on the tax regime in your country and what the wife can earn elsewhere. If you are a waitress it's shoe in. If you are a lady lawyer probably not viable but you might be entirely over recording work you have done in 6 minute intervals and you like playing tennis with the girls.
